The Czech Republic closes today its Presidency in Visegrad group. We followed up on the Slovak Presidency and handed over the chairmanship to our Polish partners.

We followed up on the Slovak Presidency and handed over the chairmanship to our Polish partners.

The Czech motto was V4Reasonable Europe, and we focused on three areas, i.e. 3R – Reasonable solutions within V4 and of V4 within the EU, Revolutionary technologies supporting research, development and innovation, Reconciling approaches to overcome dividing views and broaden V4 coalition potential. More information on V4 PRES are here https://www.mzv.cz/jnp/en/foreign_relations/visegrad_group/index.html

In Budapest, we marked the hand over from Czechs to Poles by an informal evening with our main V4 Hungarian partners. Among the guests were, e.g. Minister for Technology and Innovation László Palkovics or State Secretaries of two Ministeries Levente Magyar and Attila Steiner. Tibor Bial and Jerzy Snopek summarized the ending and the upcoming V4 Presidency in a relaxed atmosphere of V4 friendly relations. Barbecue dishes, Czech beers and Moravian wines were served with delicate live music in the background. On the sideline, there were Czech nanotechnology inventions and products against Covid19, and global pandemics presented.

We wish Poland a successful Presidency in the Visegrad group!
