CZECH ELECTIONS IN CANBERRA OPEN!

Elections for the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic opened today at 2pm local time at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Canberra and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sydney. The polling stations are set up in accordance with local coronavirus measures and only one voter will be able to enter the polling stations at any one time.

Unfortunately, this year's elections in Australia will be affected by coronavirus measures as a number of travel restrictions are still in place in the country and borders between some states are closed. We are therefore very sorry that not all Czech voters and compatriots who would like to vote will be able to do so. However, those who do make it to the poll in Canberra will receive a package of freshly baked Moravian cakes (in a special covid-safe package) from us! :)

We look forward to your participation in the elections!
