Czech stall at the Multicultural Festival in Canberra

From 17 to 19 February 2023, one of the largest social events, the Multicultural Festival, took place in the Australian capital. During this festival, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Canberra traditionally had its stand in the so-called European Village, which was opened by the Chief Minister of ACT Mr. Andrew Barr and the EU Ambassador in Canberra Gabriele Visentin accompanied by his ambassadorial colleagues from EU countries

This year's stand was in the spirit of presenting Czech beer, with the Czech stand presenting draft beer Bakalář.  As usual, there was great interest in various information leaflets and brochures. The Multicultural Festival also served as a platform for presenting the Czech Republic as a tourist or business destination for those interested (not only) from Australia. The CzechTourism agency also had its space, as the stand presented Czech videos highlighting the advantages of the Czech Republic as a suitable destination.  

The Australian ABC radio also covered the festival, as well as other local print media. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth, and a big thank you to EBL, which made it possible to provide Czech draft beer!
