New Beehive at the garden of our Embassy

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is pleased to announce that we have acquired a new Beehive, which will be located in our backyard garden. The beehive will host the Italian Honeybee. Our embassy joins a list of other embassies which have decided to make the move. We hope to raise awareness of the essential role that Bees play in food security and the health of our ecosystem.

We look forward to participating in UN World Bee Day on the 20th of May. We would also like to thank Dave Croft, a beekeeper and volunteer swarm relocator, for the assistance he provided to Ambassador Dub with the installation of our new beehive (see photos). Last but not least, we are looking forward to having our first jars of honey in the next couple of weeks!
