Czechia and VFS Global Celebrated Offical Opening of Czech Visa Centers in Chongqing and Kunming

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu in cooperation with the outsourcing company VFS Global held Official Opening of the Czech Visa Application Centers in two important cities in Southwestern China – Chongqing and Kunming.

The inauguration ceremony of the Czech Visa Application Center took place
on 14th May 2016 in Chongqing and on 16th May 2016 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, on the premises of the respective Centers. During the ceremonies several speakers expressed their appreciation for the new Visa Centers in Chongqing and Kunming respectively and wished every success and all the best in future. The speakers included Mr. Zbyněk Noha, the Consul General of the Czech Republic, Mr. Rishi Das, the Head of VFS Global Schengen Operation in China, and representatives of the Municipal Government of Chongqing and Municipal Government of Kunming.

The festive event also included a Cutting Ribbon Ceremony, a toast with Czech sparkling wine Bohemia Sekt, Family photo, Tour de Center and a cocktail where participants were refreshed by Czech beer Budvar and Czech mineral water Mattoni.

Consul General of the Czech Republic gave an interview to a number of local and regional media where he expressed that with the new Visa Application Centers the region of Southwestern China will get even closer to Czechia. Tourists, businessmen, artists and other visitors from Chongqing and Yunnan Province will not have to travel far to apply for the visa before traveling to Czechia.

VFS Visa Centers in Chongqing and Kunming regularly receive short-term visa applications from travelers to the Czech Republic. The opening hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. every working day. The address:
