Day of Europe in Chongqing Celebrated with a Presentation by the Czech Consul General

On 20th May 2016 EUCCC organised a celebration of Day of Europe in Chongqing. A part of it was designated to a presentation by the new Czech Consul General Mr. Zbynek Noha. He spoke about the Czech Republic and the great potential of cooperation with Chongqing.

EU Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) held an event in Chongqing to commemorate the Day of Europe and to provide networking possibilities for its members and guests. The Consul General of the Czech Republic in his presentation described his country as an attractive destination for foreign investment, a beautiful country for a visit by tourists, a reliable and stable business partner, a traditional source of high technology and skilled and well educated workforce.

Some of the sectors with the best potential for further cooperation between the Czech Republic and Southwestern China include general aviation – also with pilot training, automotive industry, machinery, glass production, education, health etc. The presentation included also information about the Czech culture, food, drinks, sport and the most famous brands. Some samples of Czech cuisine and drinks were served during the cocktail that followed, including one of the most famous brands of Czech beer Budweiser Budvar and mineral water Mattoni. To contribute to the great atmosphere of the event a young talented musician from Chongqing also played a piano provided by famous Czech brand PETROF.

The event was attended mainly by business community from Chongqing, municipal government officials, diplomats, media, artists and organizers from EUCCC.

The celebration of the Day of Europe took place in a friendly and welcoming environment of Baker Street Kitchen Bar located in the heart of Chongqing.
