New Visa Application Centre of the Czech Republic Officially Opened in Chengdu

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu in cooperation with the outsourcing company VFS GLOBAL is pleased to announce that the new Czech Visa Application Center has been opened in Chengdu. It is the 3rd Czech Visa Center in China after Beijing and Shanghai.

The inauguration ceremony of the Czech Republic new Visa Application Center was held
on 4th May 2016 on the premises of the Center. During the ceremony several speakers expressed their appreciation for the new Visa Center in Chengdu and wished every success and all the best in future. The speakers included Mr. Zbyněk Noha, the Consul General of the Czech Republic, Mr. Guo Jianong, Deputy Director General of the FAO of Sichuan Province, and Mr. Rishi Das, the Head of VFS Global Schengen Operation in China.

The festive event also included passing of a symbolic visa sticker to a Chinese applicant for a Schengen visa to the Czech Republic, a Cutting Ribbon Ceremony and a toast with Czech sparkling wine Bohemia Sekt.


VFS Visa Center in Chengdu regularly receives short-term visa applications from travelers to the Czech Republic. The opening hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. every working day. The address: VFS Visa Global Center, No. 11 4th Section of South Renmin Road, Wuhou District, Chengdu.
