Consul General had a Number of Meetings to Expand Cooperation between the Czech Republic and Yunnan Province

First trip to Yunnan Province by the Czech Consul General after he assumed his position in Ferbruary 2016 included several meetings with representatives of Yunnan Provincial Government as well as Kunming Municipal Government. He also had a discussion with the top management of several local enterprises.
 

At the end of March and beginning of April 2016, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu Mr. Zbynek Noha paid a visit to Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, to discuss existing cooperation and its further possible enhancement. He had meetings with representatives of various Departments and Bureaus of Yunnan Provincial Government. He also met with Vice Governor Mr. Gao Shuxun. Yunnan Province has established links with the Czech Republic and especially with Olomouc Region and is ready to expand it in different fields – trade, investment, aviation, technology, cultural exchange, education, tourism.

In a meeting with Vice Mayor of Kunming City Mr. Wu Tao he also talked about several practical projects for cooperation between Kunming City and Olomouc City, including education, trade, tourism, culture, aviation, health and sport exchange.

Consul General Mr. Zbynek Noha visited and met with the General Manager of TOS Kunming Machine Tool, a company that is a great example of Czech and Chinese cooperation. Its production introduces leading machine tool manufacturing technologies from the Czech Republic to the Chinese market (http://www.toskunming.com/english/index.html). He also discussed possible cooperation – especially in the field of aviation and pilot training – with the Chairman of Board of Kunming industrial giant – KISC. President of the Czech-Chinese Aviation Association and CEO of F-Air, the largest Czech Pilot Training company, joined the meeting.

One of the practical steps for travelers from Yunnan to the Czech Republic will be an establishment of a new Visa Application Center in Kunming. It will be located in Xin Du Long Cheng Center. It will be operated by VFS Global.
