Founder of Facets Multimedia Miloš Stehlík died

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Mr. Milos Stehlik, an important Czech - American, founder of Facets Multimedia, died in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune has published an extensive obituary with the notes of many prominent personalities from the world of film, who have praised the lifelong work and the personality of Miloš Stehlík.
Miloš Stehlík was born in Slaný in 1949, the family left Czechoslovakia under difficult circumstances and after many difficulties the whole family met again in Chicago in 1962. Here Miloš Stehlík founded the company called Facets Multimedia, which since 1975 has systematically promoted the film and has run a complete database and movie rental on all media including video and DVD. In recent years, Miloš Stehlík has been a sought-after and highly regarded film expert and collaborator of club and art cinemas including the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago film school. The Art Institute of Chicago is already preparing a commemorative event in honor of Miloš Stehlík.
