The $4 million project officially broke ground in early November 2020 with expected completion in July 2021. The major campus expansion will add approximately 33,000 sq ft. to the headquarters facility, increasing its total footprint by over 60% to 91,000 sq ft. Expected to be completed by July 2021, the project will add warehouse and production space plus office areas including 36+ new workspaces.

“This business expansion is a natural progression for our company,” said Robb Leonhard, Viking Masek co-owner and Executive Vice President. “It increases our ability to better provide innovative and automated packaging lines from tote to pallet."

The company with the headquarters in the Czech Republic expanded its U.S. facility already twice before, in 2015 and 2016. According to company officials, another addition to its US headquarters was always a part of Viking Masek's long-term plan on the US market.

With the addition of the space, Viking Masek will be able to:

• Double their production capacity to meet the needs of a growing client base
• Streamline shipping and receiving areas and processes
• Dedicate additional space and resources to R&D and full packaging line integration
• Provide space for their growing workforce to collaborate, inspire creativity, and relax.

The expansion become necessary due accommodate additional team members and production space due to among others growing demand in food and medical markets. The continued growth in food and medical packing industries is expected on the US market.

The best chance to meet Viking Masek representatives face to face in the USA will be in Las Vegas at Pack Expo trade show next year, which will take place from 27 to 29 of September 2021.
