Czech legal expert appointed to the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities

On 27 May 2020 during its 1376th session, the Committee of Ministers’ Deputies of the Council of Europe elected Mr Harald Christian Scheu from the Law Faculty of the Charles University, Prague, in respect of the Czech Republic to the list of experts eligible to serve on the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities.
 

The Committee of Ministers’ Deputies also appointed 9 ordinary members of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for a four-year term, commencing on 1 June 2020 and expiring on 31 May 2024, including Mr H. Scheu. The Advisory Committee is a monitoring body for the implementation of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, composed of 18 independent experts from the Contracting Parties to the Framework Convention.
