Czech Republic makes a voluntary contribution towards the CoE Action plan for Georgia and deposits the instrument of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production (revised)

The government of the Czech Republic has made a voluntary contribution of CZK 400,000 (approximately €15,170) to support the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023.

This Action Plan aims to support Georgia in fulfilling its obligations as a Council of Europe member State and to contribute towards addressing fundamental issues of human rights protection and rule of law.

The agreement on contribution was signed on 11 December 2020 by Ambassador Emil Ruffer, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, and Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.

On this occasion, the Permanent Representative also deposited the instrument of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production (revised). The Convention will enter into force for the Czech Republic on 1 April 2021.
