The Permanent Representatives of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic to the Council of Europe, Ambassadors Emil Ruffer and Marek Eštok, together with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ms. Marija Pejčinović Burić, officially opened the exhibition of photographs commemorating the 30th anniversary of the fall of totalitarian regime in the then Czechoslovakia. The inauguration took place on 13 November 2019 at the Council of Europe.

The Czech part of the exhibition contains photographs of several prominent Czech photographers, which depict important moments of the modern history of the State connected with the fall of the totalitarian regime and the course of the Velvet Revolution. The black-and-white photographs perfectly capture the unique atmosphere of the events of that time, which meant the restoration of freedom for the citizens of Czechoslovakia and its return to the family of democratic European countries.
