“Lennon Wall of Freedom and Energy” in front of the seat of the Council of Europe

On 18 October 2022 Ambassador Petr Válek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic, together with the Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalisation and Minister for Regional Development Ivan Bartoš, the Director for Democratic Participation of the Council of Europe Matjaz Gruden and the project curator Pavel Šťastný, inaugurated the exhibition “Lennon Wall of Freedom and Energy” in front of the seat of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

This artwork is inspired by the story of the Lennon Wall in Prague, the Czech symbol of freedom of expression. The original painting of the project was created with the participation of 29 artists from EU member states, Norway and Ukaine, and then transformed into an inflatable wall.

The inflatable wall was displayed for a whole day in Strasbourg and attracted the attention of the diplomatic community and the French journalists.
