The Czech Republic made a voluntary contribution of CZK 900,000 to the Council of Europe.

The Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Emil Ruffer, signed on 18 December 2019, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ms. Gabriella-Battaini Dragoni, a donor agreement providing the Czech Republic's total voluntary contribution of CZK 900,000 (EUR 35,083.62) for the implementation of the CoE Action Plan for Ukraine (CZK 500,000) and the CoE Action Plan for the Protection of Refugee and Migrant Children (CZK 400,000).

The Czech Republic thus becomes a medium-sized and stable contributor to the activities of the Council of Europe paid from so-called extra-budgetary resources. Having made this contribution, we are part of a group of majority of member States which each year provide voluntary contributions to activities that are not covered by the ordinary budget of the organization and which these donors regard as prospective or priority.
