Tjekkiet fordømte terrorangrebene i København

Your Majesty,

It was with deep sadness that I received the news about the terrorist attack in Copenhagen which claimed two human lives and numerous injuries.

I view the increasing violence and the increasing number of security threats in Europe recently with high disappointment. I regret that your country, which I personally consider as one of the most stable and advanced democracies in the world, is not spared of this barbarism.

Let me express, personally and on behalf of the citizens of the Czech Republic, the deepest sympathies to Your Majesty and to the families of the victims.

Yours respectfully,

Miloš Zeman
President of the Czech Republic

Premierminister Bohuslav Sobotka fordømte  terrorangrebene i København i et telegram  rettet til den danske statsminister Helle Thorning-Schmidt.

Your Excellency,

I was deeply shocked by the recent attacks in Copenhagen, which claimed two lives and left several persons wounded.

These incidents are not only criminal acts – they are clearly terrorist attacks aimed at the principles of freedom and values of an open, democratic society. I deplore the attacks in the strongest possible terms. Every wasted human life is a terrible and irretrievable lost.

Your Excellency, please pass my sympathies and sorrow to the wounded and to the families of the victims.

Yours sincerely,

Bohuslav Sobotka
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic

Kondolence-brev fra formanden for Det tjekkiske senat Milan Štěch til Kongeriget Danmarks Folketingsformand Mogens Lykketoft (DOC, 27 KB)

Your Excellency,

I have been shocked, as well as all of my colleagues, by the terrorist attacks against a café and synagogue in Copenhagen where innocent people were killed and others were injured. Such an act of violence has again confirmed our determination to combat terrorism together and without compromise. Accept, please, our deep sorrow at the tragic event.

All of us would very much wish we would not witness similar tragedies in future since they always cause great suffering and long-time sorrow.

Yours sincerely,

Milan Štěch
Chairman of the Senate
of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

Erklæring fra Tjekkiets udenrigsminister Lubomír Zaorálek om angrebet i København

With sadness I have learnt that again, this time in Copenhagen, our open and democratic society suffered an attack with injuries and fatalities. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the victims and their families. All indications are that this is a political attack and thus an act of terrorism. The Czech Republic wishes to express its solidarity with Denmark and severely condemns any attempts to silence the free debate. We stand united with Denmark and European Union in upholding freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

Lubomír Zaorálek
Minister of Foreign Affairs
