“The Glass Room” at Jewish Culture Festival in Copenhagen

The Jewish Culture Festival, which took place in Copenhagen on 1 – 12 June, had a Czech representation this year too. On the program was a Czech film “The Glass Room”, dealing with the fate of the owners of the Brno villa Tugendhat.

The Glass Room is a drama shot in 2019 in a Czech-Slovak co-production. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by the English writer Simon Mawer, inspired by the fates of the Jewish owners of the Brno villa Tugendhat, which forms the main backdrop of the film.

The screening took place on Wednesday 1 June from 6 pm at the Jewish Community House (Krystalgade 12, 1172 Copenhagen K).
