Czech Film Day in Greenland

On 19 October, Czech Film Day took place in a culture centre Katuaq in the Greenland’s capital Nuuk. The event took place in collaboration with production company Kuli Film and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Copenhagen and thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Audio-visual Producers’ Association.

Film producer Radim Procházka and the former Czech Ambassador to Denmark Zdeněk Lyčka presented the audience with the upcoming co-production film project In a Storm and Winds about the work of the Moravian Brothers in Greenland in 1733, as well as numerous examples of contemporary Czech cinematography. At the end of the event, the film Jan Palach (trailer) from 2018 was shown as the main point of the programme with an introductory speech by the representative of the lead role, Viktor Zavadil.
