At the meeting in Billund the Ambassador showed his appreciation of the activities of the company in the Czech Republic. He spoke with the Director General Jørgen Vig Knudstorp mainly about an innovation strategy and about the development of the company´s activities in the world. Since 2000 the company LEGO A/S has belonged to the most important Danish investors in the Czech Republic via its production plants in the town of Kladno in Central Bohemia.

Last year the Danish company commenced construction of a new part of the factory which will widen the existing area in Kladno with about 48 thousand square meters. This will enable the factory to increase its production capacity by 30%. The total investment is estimated to about 1.5 billion Czech crowns.

Beside this the company LEGO A/S has built its central European distribution warehouse in the Czech Republic in Jirny u Prahy. During the visit the Ambassador also met with the Marketing Director, the Finance Director, the External Relations Director and he also visited the production plant Kornmarken.
