Czech film “Bird Atlas” at East by Southeast Film Festival

The latest film by director Olmo Omerzu “Bird Atlas” has been screened at Cinemateket as part of East by Southeast Film Festival, featuring films from Central and Eastern Europe. Bird Atlas was made in Czech/Slovak/Slovenian coproduction and has been included in the main competition of Karlovy Vary Film Festival in August 2021.
The film has been shown on Thursday 4 November followed by a small reception for the cinema goers, and then on Wednesday 10 November.

Ivo Rona, a long-time CEO of a successful company called Aron, navigates the tricky situation that gets worse as his children get involved, which is likely a consequence of his past actions. Olmo Omerzu’s latest film skillfully combines strained family relationships with the world of modern communication technology that can exploit our vulnerabilities. In the increasingly tense war that ensues, the battle lines are blurred and the winner is far from certain.
