Invitation: Jewish Cultural Festival in Copenhagen

On June 4-11, 2023, the 12th Anniversary of the Jewish Cultural Festival will take place in Copenhagen. As part of the program, you´ll be able to visit more than 60 unique productions, workshops, concerts and films. The Czech Republic will be represented this year by the writer Magdalena Platzová, whose book presentation: "Life after Kafka" will commemorate the approaching 140th Franz Kafka´s birthday anniversary.

**

In 2010, Magdalena Platzová began searching for traces of Felicia Bauer/ová, Franz Kafka's fiancee, in America. The meeting with Bauer's son and his family resulted in a book that is ultimately not only about Felica, but also about other people who were close to Kafka and whose fates are connected with pre-war Europe and its ruins.
