MUDP: DKK 120 million in 2022 to Sustainable Grant Applications

The Danish Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP) has opened for grant applications. The grants are earmarked projects that contribute with solutions to current environmental, nature or climate challenges.

2022 MUDP FOCUS AREAS: CLIMATE, CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND WASTE, CLEAN WATER AND AIR

Grants from MUDP are given to projects that have a positive effect on the environment, nature and climate. In 2022, the program will have a special focus on projects within

  • Clean water and clean air
  • Circular economy and waste
  • Environmentally hazardous substances and better chemistry
  • Wild nature, biodiversity and climate
  • Furthermore, a central purpose of the program is to contribute to Danish growth and employment as well as strengthen Denmark's leadership position in the green area.

All private or public companies can apply for grant, along with private or public research institutes, self-governing institutions, trade associations, associations and private persons.

 

TIMELINE FOR MUDP GRANT APPLICATIONS

Projects can be applied in one of the below categories with each their application deadline. In all categories the project scope can evolve around the above mentioned focus areas - climate, circular economy and waste, clean water and air, environmentally hazardous substances and better chemistry, nature and biodiversity.

  • Development, test and demonstration projects - Application deadline 5th May 2022
  • Lighthouse projects - Application deadline 23rd August 2022

You can also get sparring from the MUDP-secretariat. All project types can be submitted on an ongoing basis with a 1-page description of a project idea. After this has been submitted the MUDP secretariat will provide informal sparring over the phone.

 

ABOUT MUDP

Since 2007, the Ministry of the Environment has facilitated an environmental technology grant scheme focusing on the development, testing and demonstration of new environmental technology solutions within e.g. water, climate adaptation, cleaner air and better utilization of resources.
