Two organ concerts by the Czech organist Pavel Kohout

During the summer tour of the young Czech organist Pavel Kohout in Scandinavia two concerts took place in Denmark.

The first recital took place on 15 July 2009 in the Ålborg Cathedral. Pavel Kohout performed compositions by J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, L. van Beethoven and P. Eben. Over a hundred guests attended the concert.

The second concert by Pavel Kohout took place on 17 July in the Garnisons Church in Copenhagen. The programme consisted of compositions by J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, L. van Beethoven and P. Eben as well as Pavel Kohout´s own organ improvisation. The concert was attended by over 80 guests. After the concert the guests had the possibility to meet the musician and buy his original CDs.

Being a winner of many prestigious international organ competitions Pavel Kohout is regarded as one of the most brilliant European organists of the new generation. His extensive concert tours brought him to many European cities as well as to Australia, Japan, Israel, China, Singapore and USA.He has also performed at many prestigious Czech music festivals andcooperates with the Czech National Radio.

After the successful concerts in Denmark, Pavel Kohout´s concert tour continued in Norway.
