Kawasaki's Rose is a drama about loyalty and betrayal, guilt and forgiveness and relationships influenced and pressured by the Communist regime. The successful director-writer duo Hřebejk-Jarchovský has for the first time experimented with the genre of psychological drama. The title of the film was inspired by one of the most difficult origami reflecting the complex relations among the characters of the film.
