The film A Country Teacher subtitled Everybody needs somebody is a story of love, friendship, guilt and forgiveness. The movie received the Czech Lion award in two categories (Best Script and Best Actress in Leading Role) in 2009 and several awards at Stockholm International Film Festival and Cottbus Festival of East European Cinema (2008).

Approximately 45 guests – including Czech expatriots with their families and friends and other interested guests – attended the screening.
