Concert of Czech violinist Jaroslav Šonský and French pianist Sylvaine Wiart

On Tuesday 14 June 2011, upon initiative of the Czech Embassy, a concert of the Czech violinist Jaroslav Šonský and the French pianist Sylvaine Wiart took place at the French Embassy in the center of Copenhagen.

The duo performed a highly challenging and at the same time very attractive programme of works by Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Maurice Ravel and César Franck. Around 50 diplomats, representatives of Danish culture institutions and Czech and French expatriots attended the concert. The guests appreciated especially the expressive performances of the musicians, the selection of the programme and the whole atmosphere. After the concert, refreshments offered by both Embassies were served and the guests had the opportunity to share their impressions with the musicians.
