The documentary film festival CPH:DOX in Copenhagen

The International Festival of Documentary Movies CPH:DOX 2012 was held 1 – 11 November 2012.

CPH:DOX is the biggest documentary film festival in the Nordic countries and it belongs to the most important festivals in Europe. Again a few Czech movies were chosen for this year’s programme. The films Fortress (2012) by directors Klára Tasovská and Lukáš Kokeš and Back to the Square (2012, Czech, Norwegian and Canadian coproduction) by director Petr Lom were nominated for the festival’s best movie in the category of political movies.

Pevnost

Director of Fortress Lukáš Kokeš together with movie producer Tomáš Hrubý personally presented their film in Copenhagen. The audience had an opportunity to discuss with the movie makers after the screening.

The festival programme also offered the audience the movie Záviš, the Prince of Pornofolk (2006) by director Karel Vachek, who was a guest of the last year’s CPH:DOX.
