The library representative Jana Nelth Drejer and Czech ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka launched the exhibition with their speeches. The exhibition Queen Dagmar, Princess of Bohemia travels around Denmark in the year that we commemorate the 800th anniversary of the death of a historical person who connects directly Denmark and Czechia. The exhibition was first presented in May 2012 in Ribe (where the Queen lived and died) during the festival Dagmar800. Another host of this exhibition became Ringsted where Dagmar is buried. In October the exhibition was shown at the Faculty Library of Humanities of the University of Copenhagen. It will be held at the Roskilde Library until 30 November. It will later continue its journey to Aarhus.

On 8 November 2012 the exhibition was ceremonially opened in Kutná Hora, the Czech twin town of Ringsted. Afterwards it will be shown at the Moravian Museum in Brno (January-February 2013), the Regional Museum in Olomouc and other cities in the Czech Republic.
