Conference on the 25th anniversary of the fall of communism

On 1 November 2014 a conference organized by Libertas Society on the occasion of this year´s 25th anniversary of the fall of communism in Central and Eastern Europe took place in the Danish parliament Christiansborg in Copenhagen. The organizers invited Václav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic 2003-2013, as the main speaker.
The two other guest speakers were Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, Denmark´s Minister of Foreign Affairs 1982 – 1993, and Samuel Rachlin, former correspondent of Danmarks Radio in the Soviet Union.
The conference was met with great interest by the Danish public as well as Czech expats. Also ambassadors from some of the Central and Eastern European countries, together with Danish politicians and important economists took part in the event.
During the visit Václav Klaus gave an exclusive interview to the Danish daily Berlingske.
