Exhibition about Jan Švankmajer in Ringsted

The Czech Embassy in Copenhagen presented during advent the exhibition Jan Švankmajer: Dimensions of Dialogue Between Film and Fine Art in the Ringsted Library. The exhibition was launched on Monday 1 December 2014 by the Czech Ambassador Jiří Brodský and the Mayor of Ringsted Henrik Hvidesten.
The retrospective panel exhibition was created on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the legendary Czech surrealist filmmaker, animator and visual artist Jan Švankmajer. The exposition is based on a book of the same name by the curatorial duo František Dryje - Bertrand Schmitt.
The joint event of the Czech Embassy in Copenhagen and the Ringsted Library was held as part of the celebration of 25 years of cooperation between the partner towns of Kutná Hora and Ringsted. The library visitors had an opportunity to see the exhibition until 3 January 2015.
