Working visit by the Czech Parliamentary Committee on Health Care

On 24-26 November 2014 a delegation of the Committee on Health Care from the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, led by the eminent Czech pharmacologist Dr. Jiří Skalický, paid a working visit to Denmark.
 

The programme of the visit included consultations with the partner committee in the Danish Folketing, but also meetings at the Danish Ministry of Health Care, at the Statens Serum Institut, with the leadership of the Region Hovestaden and with the Director of Rigshospitalet. The delegation also visited the Hillerød hospital and research center in COBIS.

The Czech members of Parliament used the occasion to consult their Danish counterparts on the Danish model of funding, and the organization of the healthcare system, and to exchange their experiences from the legislative work. At the same time, they also got acquainted with the Danish e-Health system.
