"Three Days with Havel" in Kvarterhuset Amagerbro

On 14 – 16 November 2016, a cultural programme “Three Days with Havel” took place in the Kvarterhuset Amagerbro in Copenhagen, organized on the occasion of 80th birth anniversary of Václav Havel.

Czech Ambassador to Denmark Jiří Brodský opened the event “Three Days with Havel” on Monday 14 November with a photo exhibition by O. Škácha, K. Cudlín and A. Pajer Václav Havel 1968-2003 and screening of a documentary Václav Havel – A Life in Freedom.

On Tuesday 15 November there was a screening of a film Citizen Havel. The three-day event was closed on Wednesday 16 November, when the visitors had an opportunity to see a film Olga dedicated to life of Havel’s first wife, followed with a lecture by Professor Peter Bugge and discussion with the guests.

The event was held as part of the festival “Amar Tar Ordet”, which has this year been focused on the theme of tolerance and diversity.
