Danish edition of Čapek's book Travels in the North

On Saturday 18 March 2017, the Danish translation of the book Travels in the North by the Czech writer Karel Čapek was officially released at the House of International Theatre in Copenhagen.

The evening was opened by the Czech consul Ms Zuzana Otčenášková, author of the Danish translation a bohemicist from the Aarhus University Professor Peter Bugge and publisher Mr Henrik Borberg.

The programme included a short music performance by the Czech cellist Ms Michaela Fukačová and reading from the book by Ms Christiane Rohde, a popular Danish actress. The guests also had an opportunity to see a photo exhibition about Karel Čapek's life.

The event was organized by the Czech Embassy in Copenhagen in cooperation with the House of International Theatre and Capital City of Prague.
