Meeting with the new Ambassador of Denmark to the Czech Republic

On 7 March 2017, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Denmark, Mr Jiří Brodský, together with his wife, met with the new Ambassador of Denmark to the Czech Republic Mr Ole Frijs-Madsen, who has been granted agrément.

The ambassadors discussed the whole range of topics in the Czech-Danish relations with a focus on planned bilateral visits, mutual interests of both countries within the European Union, particularly in relation to Brexit, development of trade relations, as well as projects initiated by the Czech Embassy in Copenhagen in economic and public diplomacy.

Ole Frijs-Madsen is a career diplomat who served as ambassador to Argentina and Saudi Arabia. Previously he was a director of Invest in Denmark, which is a part of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; for six years he was a head of think-tank Baltic Development and also served as diplomat in Geneva and London.
