Dublin lecture by Professor Jan Sokol on human rights and their defenders

The Royal Irish Academy in Dublin hosted a lecture by esteemed Czech philosopher Jan Sokol on 28 April 2016. His lecture was entitled ‘Dictatorship to Democracy: The Role of Human Rights Defenders’.

The fourth annual lecture organised by Front Line Defenders, in association with Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, was held at the Royal Irish Academy on 28 April 2016. The respected Czech philosopher and former dissident Jan Sokol delivered a lecture on the subject of human rights and the dissident movement. His lecture enjoyed considerable public interest and proved very engaging to the audience in attendance.
