Consular and Visa Jurisdiction:

For the consular inquiry, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Erbil covers the following territory in the north of Iraq - the Region of Iraqi Kurdistan (Duhok Province, Erbil Province, Sulaymaniyah Province and Halabja Province).

For the visa inquiry, the Czech Consulate General in Erbil serves the visa clientele in whole Iraq.
Applicants traveling for business, medical and tourism purposes are served by the Czech Consulate General in Erbil.

Based on bilateral agreements, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic represents the following countries when accepting a Schengen visa application:
   - Slovakia
   - Belgium (only for holders of diplomatic and service passports)
Applications for long-term visas and long-term or permanent residence permits are not subject of the representation agreements.

The Czech Embassy in Baghdad serves only holders of diplomatic and service passports.

To receive travel documents, decision or submitting the rrequest for a review of visa refusal, it is possible to appear without an appointment only from Sunday to Thursday from 12:00-13:00

Legalization of documents, new passports applications, civilian and register office issues and other consular requests are processed during working hours of  the Visa and Consular Section (advanced booking is recommended by email or telephone mentioned above).
