Book launch of Investigator: Demons of the Balkan War

On 16 October at the Ambassador´s residence, the Embassy organized the launch of the English language version of the book Investigator: Demons of the Balkan War by Vladimír Dzuro. The book is a personal testimony of the author who spent more than nine years working as an investigator for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
On behalf of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (successor organization of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia), Judge Carmel Agius, President, and Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor, delivered the opening remarks. They were joined by Oldřich Martinů, Deputy Executive Director of Europol. All speakers underlined the key role that the investigators play for the successful prosecution of the most serious international crimes.
