Mucha

Mucha

The Mucha Foundation (Mucha Foundation) and Kunstmuseum Den Haag (Kunstmuseum Den Haag - The museum for modern art in the Netherlands - in The Hague) have prepared a wide selection of the work of the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). The exhibition shows the work that made Alphonse Mucha so famous: posters and illustrations, and designs for applied art, all against the backdrop of the bustling Paris of the fin de siècle.

Attention is also paid to the rediscovery of Mucha's work in the sixties, and how his style resonates with pop culture, flower power and Woodstock, featured in the designs of record covers and concert posters of bands.

Place: Kunstmuseum Den Haag, Stadhouderslaan 41 2517 HV, The Hague
