During the visit of the Netherlands, Minister Staněk had a meeting with Mrs Ingrid van Engelshoven, Minister of Education, Culture and Science and attended the Comeniusdag in Naarden. Mr Staněk  also learned about the preservation and restoration of the movies  in Collection centre and Eye film museum  in Amsterdam.

In Naarden, the delegations from the Ministry of Culture and its allowance organizations - the Comenius Museum in Uherský Brod  were received at the old town hall in Naarden by the mayor of the municipality Gooise Meren Mr H.M.W. ter Hegde. The Mausoleum of Comenius in Naarden later held a  memorial ceremony of laying wreaths at the Tomb of Comenius. Minister Staněk, along with members of the Czech delegation and the ambassadors of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, laid a wreath on the grave of J. A. Comenius to whom he paid tribute in a short speech. 

This year, the speech in Groote Kerk in Naarden was held by  Mrs J. Bussemaker, former Minister of Education, Culture and Science and Mrs M. Seighali was awarded the Comenius prize.
