The online conference "The Czech Republic and the OECD 25 years ago and 25 years to come" that will take place on December 8 from 9:30 am will commemorate a quarter of a century of the Czech Republic's membership in the OECD.

This year, the Czech Republic is celebrating 25 years since joining the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has therefore decided to commemorate this event with an online conference, which will take place on 8 December from 9.30 am and will be available to watch live on Facebook and Youtube of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conference will be opened by the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mr. Andrej Babiš and the Secretary General of the OECD Mr. Ángel Gurría.

The programme will be divided into two panels, the first will address the issues of the Czech Republic's accession to the OECD, the Czech Republic's current membership in the OECD and the general accession process to the OECD and the benefits of OECD membership. The second panel will focus on current and future challenges and views on the OECD, its role in the future and the future activities of the Czech Republic in the OECD.

During the conference, the brochure "25 years of the Czech Republic in the OECD" will be presented, which will recall the most important milestones of the Czech Republic's membership in the OECD.
