Trade Fairs in the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic hosts a variety of local fairs and exhibitions as well as an array of prominent international trade fairs. The organization of trade fairs and exhibitions in the country has a long tradition dating back to the 19th century. The first exhibition grounds were opened in Prague for the occasion of the first General World Exhibition in 1891.
 

The most prominent fair grounds in the Czech Republic are located in its two major cities: Brno and the capital Prague.

Brno Fairgrounds (BVV)

More than 60% of trade fairs in the Czech Republic are held at the BVV Brno Fairgrounds. It is the most significant fair grounds, not only in terms of size but also because of the large fairs that are hosted here. The area of the Brno Fairgrounds totals 65 hectares and offers 196,600 m² of exhibition space, of which 107,600 m² are in pavilions and 89,000 m² on free areas. Its architecture and location makes the Brno Fairgrounds one of the most beautiful European fairgrounds.

PVA (Prague Exhibition Area)

The largest exhibition centre in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is the PVA EXPO Prague. This multi-purpose venue hosts not only trade fairs, but also exhibitions, conferences, sports events, concerts, theatrical performances or parties. State-of-the-art technologies and AV equipment, top-quality services, easy access and a large-capacity parking lot are only some of the advantages of the venue. Every year, 80 events are organized, nearly 600,000 people visit the venue and more than 5,600 companies from more than 30 different countries participate there.
