Making the appointment:

Consular and legalization services - for all consular (passport, birth/marriage registration, etc.) and legalization services it is necessary to request an appointment via consulate_hanoi@mzv.cz.

Short-term (Schengen) visa applications - the receipt of Schengen visa applications is being outsourced to the VFS Global visa center in Hanoi. The appointments can be made via the visa center website. The Embassy accepts directly Schengen visa applications from family members of EU citizens, holders of diplomatic/official passports and members of official delegations.  Appointments  for a submission at the embassy need to be made via consulate_hanoi@mzv.cz

In the southern provinces of Vietnam, Schengen visa applicants may submit their applications at the Consulate General of Hungary which represents the Czech Republic in the issuance of Schengen visas, based on a bilateral agreement. Applicants from the southern provinces may therefore submit their application either at the Consulate General of Hungary or at the VFS Global visa center in Hanoi/Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi.

Long-term/permanent residence applications, long-term visas -  registration for these types of visas occurs once per month via email addresses pobyt_hanoi@mzv.cz and visa_hanoi@mzv.cz, respectively, administered by the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Consular days in Ho Chi Minh City
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi organizes consular days in Ho Chi Minh City 2-3 times/year. For appointments contact consulate_hanoi@mzv.cz stating in which consular service you are interested. 


WORKING LANGUAGES
In accordance with § 169 of the Act no. 326/1999 Sb., about the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic, the working languages of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi are Czech and English.

In 2020, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi will be closed to the public on the following Czech or Vietnamese holidays: January 1st, January  23rd - 29th, April 2nd, April 10th, April 13th, May 1st, May 5th, May 8th, July 6th, September 2nd, September 28th, October 28th, November 17th, December 24th-25th, January 1st, 2021.
