Economic migration - programs and quotas

To support the employment of foreign workers, the Czech Republic implements targeted economic migration programs. The administrator of all programs of targeted economic migration is the Ministry of Industry and Trade, on it´s website you can find detailed information about the programs, including information on inclusion in one of the programs.
Within the framework of these programs, the following visa and residence applications can be submitted at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi in the indicated numbers:

Quotas
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi applies quotas for receiving applications for employee cards and long-term visas for the purpose of business, in accordance with the Government Regulation of August 26, 2019 No. 220/2019 Coll., on the maximum number of applications for residence visas over 90 days for the purpose of business, applications for a long-term residence permit for the purpose of investing and applications for an employee card that can be submitted at the embassy, which was updated by Government Regulation No. 321/2022 Coll.
In accordance with this regulation, the following can be accepted annually at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi:
- 200 applications for an employee card, of which 0 within the Program qualified employee, 0 within the Program highly qualified employee, 200 within the Program key and scientific personnel and 0 outside any program,
- 0 applications for a long-term visa for the purpose of business, of which 0 within the Key and Scientific Personnel Program and 0 outside any program.
The annual quota is fixed and cannot be exceeded.
The submission of applications according to quotas for individual residence titles within economic migration programs and outside these programs is equally divided into 12 months.
Application
Applicants included in the program will be assigned an appointment for submission of an application by the consulate - the applicant does not need to make an appointment himself.
Applicants applying outside of the program must make an appointment to apply in accordance with the consulate's registration system.
