The new season of the Embassy Gallery was opened by the  exhibition of Barbora Kachlíková´s paintings  on Thursday, 26 January 2017 at 5 pm at the Embassy of the Czech Repulic by the Ambassador Mr. Ivan Jukl.

"The exhibition consists of a very original and interesting collection of paintings. The whole concept to make the series arose by a coincidence when Kachlíková got unfinished canvases made by deceased painter Reino Hietanen. Mrs. Hietanen, widow of the painter, altruistically donated all the unfinished paintings and sketches of Reino to students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Lahti. Canvases chosen by Barbora stir up the whole conceptual process which brings light to the way of Barboras´s thinking about art as general - where You cannot reduce or supply because  art is part of our cultural subconscious around us.  She let the essence of Hietanen´s works to "influence" her paintings and also  "borrowed" the conception of Reino Hietanen. She created a style and a way of thinking,  a uncommon serie of paintings,  which are a tribute and appreciation for the painter who had concluded his work. But he left us an inexhaustible wealth of ideas which are necessary to uncover again by the new generation of artists. With the symbolics of her paintings, impasto colours and composition solutions Barbora Kachlíková reveals a purely painterly position in what state of mind and passion she was when working on canvases sketched by painter of older generation.  The series of paintings surprises and encourages You to search the meaning of the art within the contrast of the contemporary society. "

"In my work, I reflect aspects of everyday life, our fears, beliefs, social perception and aesthetics, based on our culture. Visual form of expression allows me to effect viewers perceiving by giving them opportunity to interpret and reflect works by themselves by not giving names and concrete forms. Art is for me an active communication platform for contemporary, cosmopolitan society."
