Ambassador Vojtěch’s interview for Finnish newspapers

Czech Ambassador to Finland Adam Vojtěch gave an interview to Finnish concern Lännen Media about Czech EU Presidency, Russia, Ukraine, Finland and pandemic.

In the interview, Ambassador Vojtěch commented the Czech EU Presidency, reducing the dependence on Russian energy as well as providing aid for Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees. “At the beginning of the Presidency, we identified the main areas to focus on and, of course, support for Ukraine was on the list. Many things have happened in six months: humanitarian aid, arms for Ukraine, financial support. Recently, a new loan of EUR 18 billion was approved for Ukraine. In the end, making these decisions was the most important thing," says Ambassador in the interview.

Ambassador is positive that Finland will soon become NATO Member State and admires the speed of change of security policy discussion in Finland last spring. He also touched upon his experience from the time of pandemic when he was the Minister of Health.
