Czech Booth at GOEXPO 2011

The outdoor activities´ Fair covering a large sprectrum of popular Finnish hobbies like golf, cycling, running, tourism, fishing and horseriding took place in Helsinki on March 11th through 13th, 2011. Of the six thematical expositions the greatest interest drew that promoting golf. Not only was the golf section attracted by home exhibitors but also by foreign tourism agencies and golf centers.
The Czech Republic was represented by Lenka Ostrá of CzechTourism Prague, Lucie Vallin of the Stockholm CzechTourism Office and Veronika Kroupová of Golfcentrum at Konopiště.
In Finland, golf is played by 40.000 people (Finland´s population is about 5 million) and there are 70 of golf courses across the country.
Although the Finns prefer seaside golf resorts in long winter months, an interest to visit 87 Czech golf courses has an upward trend while using direct flights and exploring culture sites.
