Travel Fair Matka 2014

The largest travel industry event in the Northern Europe – Travel Fair MATKA – took place at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre from 16 to 19 January 2014. The Czech Republic was represented by CzechTourism agency and a representative of Golf Resort Konopiště. The participation at the Travel Fair was supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Helsinki. The Finnish-Czech Society also had its own stand at the Fair.

This year the Travel Fair was visited by around 67 000 people and about 1000 exhibitors were registered from 81 countries. The theme country for the Fair this year was Latvia. Matka 2014 also introduced a record number of 11 new countries with destinations such as Turkmenistan or Lesotho. Also countries from Latin America such as Mexico and Argentina were attractive at the Fair.
