Visit of Committee on Public Administration and Regional Development in Finland

During 2 – 5 June 2014 the Committee on Public Administration and Regional Development of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited Finland. The delegation was led by the chair of the Committee Milada Halíková, other members of the delegation were vice chairs of the Committee Martina Berdychová, Václav Horáček and Jiří Petrů and secretary of the Committee Miroslav Wolf. The main topic of the working visit was to learn in details about the Finnish system of public administration and about functioning and specific features of regional administration in Finland.
During the visit the delegation met representatives of The Administrative Committee of the Finnish Parliament, representatives of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, Ministry of Employment and the Economy and Ministry of Finance. The programme included one day visit to Tampere, the second biggest city in Finland, where the delegation of the Parliament had discussions with representatives of the City of Tampere and Tampere region Pirkanmaa.
