Conference “Security and Insecurity in Europe“

Conference  “Security and Insecurity in Europe: Drivers and Policies“  was held on 23 March 2015 in Wanha Satama Conference Centre in Helsinki. The event was organized by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in cooperation with the International Visegrad Fund. The conference belongs among Visegrad (V4) countries´ activities in Helsinki. Visegrad countries delegates presented their speeches in the afternoon session, the Czech Republic was represented by Ms Věra Řiháčková – senior researcher at the Institute for European policy EUROPEUM.
 

The main topic of the conference was the Ukrainian crisis and related issues of European security. The conference brought together prominent European and Russian experts who discussed the current situation and emerging prospects. The V4 panel was concerned with the question of crisis in Ukraine in perspective of the Visegrad countries. Presentation of Ms Řiháčková was dealing with the question how Visegrad experiences can help the Europeanisation of Ukraine.
