Nutcracker - Ballet of the National Theatre Brno at Tampere Hall

The Ballet of the National Theatre Brno will perform the Nutcracker at the Tampere Hall November 18th – 20th 2016
 

The premiere of the fairytale ballet is on Friday, November 18th, 2016 starting  at 7 pm.

The Ballet of the National Theatre Brno will perform Tchaikovsky’s  Nutcracker choreographed by Fernand Nault. There will be over hundred dancers on stage. The soloists of the Brno Ballet – and with them young students from the Tampere Conservatoire. Live music by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Nutcracker has enchanted children all over the world for more than one hundred years. The ballet brings to life the magic of Christmas, the children’s endless imagination and enchanting dreams.

Fernand Nault’s version of The Nutcracker by P. I. Tsaikovsky was originally created in 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky and since 1964 it has been performed by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens as part of every holiday season in Montreal. The National Theatre Brno is only the second European ballet company to present Fernand Nault’s version of The Nutcracker. Lively rhythms, fluid transitions of scenes, magnifi cent sets and lavish costumes of this production, captivate children as well as adults with their richness and colours.
